Citizenship document checklist (N-400)

Tell us a little about your situation and get a tailored list of documents to start gathering. This is a general document-gathering list, not legal advice; USCIS instructions control.

Which of these apply to you?

Your document-gathering list

0 of 7 gathered

This is a general document-gathering list, not legal advice. USCIS instructions control. Group C Accounting is not a law firm; for questions about eligibility, ask a licensed immigration attorney.

How it works

Four simple steps

  1. Paperwork intake

We go over the paperwork you want prepared and what's involved. We don't assess eligibility or choose forms for you.

  2. You bring your documents

Bring the form you've decided to file and your records. We'll tell you what the form's instructions ask for.

  3. We prepare and review

We type your answers as you give them, translate where needed, organize everything, and check for completeness.

  4. You review, sign, and file

You read every answer, sign it yourself, and file it. We can assemble the packet for you to mail.

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot

Can you tell me if I qualify?

No. We aren't attorneys or DOJ-accredited representatives, so we can't advise on eligibility, which form to file, or strategy. If you have those questions, we'll refer you to a licensed immigration attorney.

Can you pick the right form for me?

No. You decide which form to file. Once you have, we can help prepare it. If you're unsure, an attorney can help you decide, and we're glad to refer you.

Will you represent me with USCIS?

No. We aren't affiliated with USCIS or any government agency and can't represent you. You sign and file your own application.

Do you translate documents?

We can help with translation of documents as part of preparing your packet. Ask us when you book, and we'll confirm what's needed for your forms.

How much are the government filing fees?

Government fees change, so we don't list them here. See the current amounts at uscis.gov/fees. Our preparation fee is separate and quoted upfront.

What if I have an arrest or something complicated in my history?

That is a legal question. We recommend speaking with an immigration attorney before filing anything. We can refer you.

Let's get your paperwork in order.

Book a paperwork intake visit. For legal questions, we'll point you to a licensed attorney.
